Who We Are

Huginn is a security intelligence platform that monitors the internet for exposed services, misconfigurations, and vulnerabilities. We operate a distributed sensor network that performs lightweight, non-intrusive scans to build a database of internet-facing infrastructure.

Our scanning is similar to services like Shodan, Censys, and Shadowserver.

What We Scan

Our scanners perform the following activities:

Port discovery — TCP SYN probes to identify open ports (no connection is established)
Service identification — Standard HTTP/HTTPS connections to identify web technologies and TLS certificates
DNS enumeration — Public DNS record lookups (A, AAAA, MX, TXT, NS, SOA)

We do not perform:

Vulnerability exploitation or credential brute-forcing
Denial-of-service or high-rate flooding
Application-layer attacks or data exfiltration
Scanning of opted-out IP ranges

Our Scanner IP Addresses

These IP addresses are used for authorized scanning. You can whitelist or block them as appropriate for your network.

Opt Out

We respect your right to opt out.

If you do not wish your IP addresses or networks to be scanned, send an email to abuse@meethuginn.com with:

The IP address(es) or CIDR range(s) you want excluded
Your name and organization

We process opt-out requests within 24 hours. Your IP range will be excluded from all future scans.

Legal Basis

Our scanning activities consist of standard network probes (TCP SYN packets, HTTP/TLS connections, DNS queries) that do not access, modify, or exfiltrate data from target systems. These activities are equivalent to connecting to a publicly accessible service with a web browser.

We comply with applicable laws and promptly honour all opt-out requests. If you believe our scanning has caused an issue, please contact us immediately at abuse@meethuginn.com.
